New Camelbak options
Have been looking around for a new hydration pack for the Summer and wondered about trying out the Camelbak which I have not used before.
They have a new antidote bladder with a removable hose connection so this should make it easy to pull out and pop in the fridge/esky.
I don't need a huge bag and was looking like going for the LOBO.
Can anyone have any comments or pet hates about any of the Camelbaks?
Manly Dam update for 23 Aug
did the circuit yesterday again after some time and it was great ! but beware of protective magpies/other birds, i've been getting attacked just next to manly vale public school and paid with a bloody nose 
still finished the trail, nice and dry.

Workshop Training - Feedback
Thought I would share a great experience which may be of interest to others!
Last night I did a 3 hour 'workshop' with Jordan at Ride in Workshop ( www.rideinworkshop.com.au )
Being quite mechanically minded, but relatively new to MTB'ing at a serious level, it was awesome to work through the whole bike with Jordan, looking at all aspects of set-up, maintainence, repair, and recommendations on parts etc.
I've got no connection other than being very impressed with the service etc.
I suppose it's given me two things:

Mostly dry, but they've been doing some work on the trails and there are some very soft bits now. Be especially careful of the downhill from Heath track as quite a few of the waterbars are VERY soft.

I need to head to Bundanoon on Friday. Will be leaving Cherrybrook around 8am. Anyone interested in a lap or two at Wingello then back to Sydney?
Ryland update for 22 Aug
Rode the single trail from new corner of MonaVale Road & Forest Way all the way up to the SHowGrounds as well as the Ryland Fire trail out to the end. Very dry which was good apart form the long sections of deep sand.
Get out there!!!

Lane Cove National Park update for 22 Aug
Rode through from De Burgh's Bridge to the top of Devlins yesterday. The few damp areas seem to be leaking pipes, some of which were a bit whiffy. Top of Devlins is still a bit sketchy (for me anyway), but otherwise all good. Construction is finally underway on the pipeline crossing near De Burgh's, but they seem happy enough to leave the short detour open around the edge of the taped off area. Pity the hike a bike section can't be replaced by a couple of hundred metres of ridable track....

Blackbutt Reserve update for 22 Aug
Yesterday arvo was the driest I've seen it for ages. Even a few sandy bits. Traffic line forming in most areas.
