Round 6 of 2012 XCM Series
2012 is the 8th running of The Briars Highland Fling, Australia's MTB Marathon Championship. The Fling is a mountain bike marathon for all. It offers a scenic and challenging route through forests and farmland in the Southern Highlands of NSW, hammering singletrack, forest tracks, dirt road and less than 2km of blacktop.
Do the Full Fling (approx 110km), the Half Fling (approx 55km), the relay Flinging Threesome or take on the even bigger challenge of the 100Mile Fling
Kincumber Mountain Riders
Hi All,
I've recently moved to Kincumber, and am interested in exploring the tracks on the mountain.
I plan to ride Saturday and/or Sunday mornings. If anyone wants to join up for a ride, let me know.

Jesmond Park/John Hunter Hospital Hill update for 08 Jul
Had a quick ride and as per other tracks in and around Newcastle, it is just too wet. Even the ridge fire trails are wet and boggy.

Withdrawn: Shimano Deore shifters front - 3 speed and rear - 9 speed
Used Shimano Deore shifters for sale, includes front (3 speed) and read (9 speed). Surplus to requirements having changed a hardtail to 1x9 and now using an xt shifter.

Berowra Valley update for 08 Jul
The eastern side of the gorge has been chopped up by a grader and is very boggy.
Some wet patches throughout. Concreted section finished half-way up the west climb.

Shimano xtr cassette 11-34 for sale. This cassette is used and came off my bike a few months ago when I replaced both chain and cassette.
