Appin update for 04 Jul
At best I'd describe the Appin area as having some issues. The regular club race loop is good for the first half, but the second half is very wet in some sections.
The Lost Track should be avoided for a while. There are some areas that are becoming a bog and need work. Some work has been done by a local and it is really good stuff, but more is needed.

XCM Rankings
So - with 4 races down (Wombat, Cap Pun, Convict and Husky) and 2 to go (Woolombi and Fling) the rankings are really starting to take shape and make interesting reading.
http://www.cyclenation.com.au/results/ranklist.a...
Remember - its your best 3 results that count, and also that there are 25% more points on offer at the Fling. Its going to get VERY tight.
BTW - how many nobmobbers are listed there in the top 20 on the first page? Great work - Dicko, PS, Brian, Tate and 'Anthem X1 Girl'.

Sydney Bike Show
Is anyone going to the bike show this year?
I missed it last year so will try and get there this time.

Husky 100
This being my first 100 I was unsure of an exact time to aim for but was hoping to go under 6 hrs as I had been doing in training.I started at the back of the second group and just sat on wheels around the golf course and into the first decent.
The first bog came upend I saw someone in front go OTB when their front wheel stopped. The rider briefing ringing in my ears ,ALL creeks are rideable. The rest of the first 20 km were pretty uneventful. After we crossed The main road I lost all the low gears ,then to make it abit harder the fast rings went as well.

Benefits of professional coaching?
Hi Team
There's been a bit of talk here recently about training and coaching which is timely for me given some of the thoughts kicking around in my vacant head. I thought I'd throw open a discussion about the benefits of 'real' coaching as compared to self coaching and at what point would it make sense to assist in achieving your goals.

Camden River update for 02 Jul
Agree with the previous update. Perfect. The trail fairies have done a great job of keeping the track clear of deadfall and the bridges are looking solid. Plenty of snakes out too!
