Duck Hole/Terrey Hills Trail update for 01 Jan
The track has dried out pretty well. A few small puddles here and there. Lots of loose rocks.

Happy New Year to all , Just looking to find some new people to ride with as i am getting back into the sport after an 11 year break.
If anyone is riding Mt Annan this week and is interested in teaching a semi- newbie the track and some long forgotten skills, Let me know.
Hans and Hawkeye's Excellent Adventure
Hans is a riding buddy of mine and occasional Mont 24 co-conspirator.
On Tuesday 27th he called and asked if I wanted to go for a ride on Bairne Track at Terrey Hills. I thought, yep, it'll be short out-and-back and with the lower back discomfort I've been trying to resolve that kind of effort would be about right.
Weeellll... it was one of those classic occasions where well-laid plans are not stuck to and it all goes rapidly downhill from there 
First, we had to ride in since Hans didn't have his NPWS pass. No big deal.
Manly Dam update for 31 Dec
It must have had localised rain over night because it is soaking at the dam. I was looking forward to a dry lap but it was not to be.
The worst spots are near the school and the single track has a fair amount of water sitting on it. I would leave it a day to dry out.

2nd lap of 2. Haven't ridden Awaba since May, forgot how good it is. Kudos to the locals who are responsible. :thumbsup:

Arrived at 0731, rain had finished, track is near perfect. Even better on 2nd lap. Go for it!

Awaba State Forest update for 31 Dec
7:10am - Dec 31. Now parked @ Awaba waiting for rain to stop. Looks like it has been raining for most of the night. Currently raining hard. Clouds hovering over these ranges. Track looks very damp on short inspection. I'm playing safe and heading back home. Too wet to ride IMO.

99.9% dry. It was meant to rain slightly today... but it didn't.
