Hi - I will be heading down to Mnt Annan for a training ride.
The plan is to ride one lap pretty easy just warming up, then ride the 2nd lap at a fast (almost race) pace - traffic on track permitting.
Ride the 3rd lap real easy as recovery, looking a lines in the corners etc.
4th lap will be the fastest of the day, and the 5th lap will be super easy to loosen off.
As a guide, the easier laps will be about 35mins speed. Faster will be about 25min.

In between laps, we grab a new bottle from the car, but dont hang around. This ride last week came to pretty much exactly 3hrs.

Towler's Bay Ride & Wade & Hike Adventure

Towler's bay ride & wade & hike ride Dec 2011.

Approximate map for the Hike & Climb & Wade adventure...The trails ended suddenly....

Note - this bay crossing works only at very low tide, and you have to be ready to wade / carry your bike across 500m of knee deep water.

Keep an eye out for the crocs and wobbegong sharks Eye-wink

This is pretty interesting...

Chain Reaction Cycles is the Northern Ireland Post Office's biggest customer.

I'm not surprised!

Manly Dam update for 03 Jan

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Green/Open

did a lap, had a flat and had no leavers in my kit Sad anyhow its mostly nice and dry but still the usual puddles that are rather full for this time of year.
the place needs some maintenance that's for sure, the rock garden and the single trail sections up the top that have some rocks that are now more exposed since the wet Q4 and do nothing but break up the flow.

Chainset question

Hi guys,
I will be changing my old Truvativ chainset, for a shimano Alivio one, but looking for the parts on CRC I came up with two options: 170 or 175mm. What's this? Which one should I get?
Another question: It is going to fit into the same Bottom Bracket or do I need to replace it as well?

I am planning to change the chain, rear derailleur (coz' I lost a jockey wheel), cassette, cable and housing.
Recommendations/tips?

P.S.
This is for my old spare bike, so I'm just trying to replace the parts like to like (entry level).

Hi All,

I'm a noobie to this site. I recently posted a ride to hook up for this route:
1. Enter Cascades from Stone Pde;
2. Through Cascades (few nice fast downhills), with long (killer - read good training) uphill to Mona Vale Rd;
3. Cross Mona Vale at St Ives Wild Flower Garden;
4. Enter single track parallel (awesome single track) to Mona Vale, through St Ives Show Grounds;
5. Eventually arrive at intersection of Forest Way, Mona Vale Rd (opp corner is Supa Centa);
6. EDITED..... Private Message me...
