Manly Dam update for 23 Nov

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Red/Closed

In case it isn't obvious, the trail will be a bog after the last few days' rain, so please respect the trails and do not trash them by riding while like this.

If you really must trash your poor bike's transmission and brakes, try Duck Holes and Centre Track loop at Terrey Hills

I was cleaning up the Taurine to sell it the other day when my heart sank,
I'd found a crack on the rear brakemount.
I was going to put it on here and on ebay but instead i took it to Bike Addiction as i heard from a mate that they fic up carbon frames,

Latest Trail Status feature

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

So I see Manly Dam, Lane Cove and Yellomundee are currently a green light. I guess they are "latest" status, but really.. does it serve any point? Those 3 rides would be washed out with rain and currently not ridable.

MANLY
Actually I have not had a manly ranger email, so I'm guessing Manly must be open, even though we have had so much rain. Seems crazy.

YELLOMUNDEE
I doubt WSMTB would like anybody heading to Yellomundee Regional Park to ride.

Post Fling Blues?

Anyone else suffering from Post Fling Blues?. What a awesome event.

That big green climb at the 100km mark was a killer... I wondered if anyone has a photo looking up at that big green hill, as would be a good training motivator for next year.

Im guessing the next big one will be James Williamson March 11th, then the Mont 24

Cheers

Singleton MTB track update for 23 Nov

Status:
Red/Closed

After the anount of rain that we are currently having, the track would not be rideable for a couple days. Would need a good day of sunlight to dry the track and a few of the dips around the track. If anyone has ridden the track this week pls provide an update to this.

Step by step...

Managed to complete a spin class tonight without any protest from the shoulder at all... not bad for six weeks after the collarbone break at Kiwarrak. Still not strong enough to ride a real bike, but that will come.

Keeping the core locked was hard and I had to soft-pedal some of the "sprints" on account of no fitness, but it was better than the didaster i was expecting after gaining 3kg after 6 weeks of no riding.

Time to start planning for the Mont!

Cyclocross is coming to town!

Not just for the cyclocrossers,
there's a race for the Mtb'ers and kids also.
If you dont feel like racing then come along(with your cowbells) and see what it's all about!

For Sale: Shimano RS80 wheels

Below is a preview, click to read the full post
Price:
350.00

Hi all,

I have a set of Shimano RS80 wheels sitting at home doing nothing so they are now up of grabs.
these wheels were used for training for about 6months before I moved to a set of TWE wheels.

the wheels are carbon/alloy mix rim which gives the smoothness of a carbon rim but the reliable braking of an alloy rim.
they are quite light at around the 1550g mark, this means they climb well and spin up to speed well too.
they are priced to sell so get in quick.

These wheels would make a great upgrade to a basic set of wheel you get on a lot of new bikes these days.
