For Sale: MTB Power tap wheel
Hi all,
Its time to move a few parts on.
For sale is a MTB powertap SL disc hub ANT+ built into a stams Arch rim (26er) its all held together with DT Swiss aerolite spokes.
This is a cheap reliable way to get the all important power data from your MTB rides to ensure you are training in the right zones and thus training smarter not harder and getting better results.
Training with Power give you the most accurate data for each training session that is not possible with other training/monitoring tools. Will you take your training to the next level?
Unreal banana peel!!!!
It was my first race so started training in August putting lots of hours in; I was hoping to get 3 hours so really stoked coming in at 2.53. I didn't know what to expect so was a bit apprehensive. but really enjoyed the race. Got my wife to make me a low fat high carb banana bread (she's in the food game) for my pre race sustenance and it was gold! No stitches or nothing and felt comfortably full and charged for the race. May need to get her to sell it there next year!!!!
GPS Bike Computer Advice
I'm going to ask Santa for a GPS bike computer, and am interested in opinions on the best make / model to get. I don't need maps, just stats and HR. I know Garmins are popular, and I've read good things about Bryton. Anyone have any advice for me? I mean for Santa?

I bought them from an overseas mail order and had a brain explosion when clicking on 24 rather than 26. They are going to go out in next weeks organic rubbish collection but if anyone wants them give me a call

Wed Night Social Ride
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.
And another ride that goes to the weather gods. Probably not a particularly good idea to ride around soaked through trails even if the rain eases over the day.

Hi,
trying again to get a Wed night ride together! Trying Manly Dam as the West Head area is still flagged as closed.
I am not a good person to lead Manly Dam as I am known to jump off the bike rather often. So I am happy to bring up the back. Let's think about that as the social part. I am trusting that more daring members of the community will join in to lead the pack around the trail.
2012 XCM Series
Is there any info if they are running the XCM series for 2012 and if so, what events will count towards it?

Dry, plenty of loose rock and sandy stretches and very exposed on a hot afternoon yesterday.
