The Oaks update for 25 Jun

Two trees down on Bennett's Ridge Glenbrook National park. - Track detail here http://bmorc.com/node/9004 If coming down from The oaks the first tree is about 200 - 300 meters from the start of bennetts gate, the 2nd is about 1.5k from that point. Distances are estimated as we were riding up the trail not down...

Technically not actually the proper oaks trail but it will be part of the Care flight Woodford to Glenbrook classic this weekend, so figured worth while to put up a post.

Mtb and camping

Hi can anyone recommend a good camping ground in the blue mountains close to some good trails? Hoping to see some great views by bike this weekend.
Any advice would be great

Linking Linden Ridge to Faulko Point

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

I am wondering if anyone in the mountains has ridden from the walking track at the end of Linden ridge which according to openbikemap / openstreedmap appears to link into the fire trail that is just before faulko point? I am not talking about the overgrown single track half way along linden ridge but the track off the very end. '

Edited to add a map... I am wondering about the hiking track with the big circle. I dont see any GPS tracks on Openstreetmap etc that show people traversing it. I think i am just going to go an see what i can find..

All good, in some ways.

The single track(s) around the down hill track just after it crosses the fire trail has now been closed, I suspect it was Blue Mountains City Council looking at the work done. The tracks have mostly been covered by vegetation too. This is NOT the single track that runs from the fire trail to Elizabeth Lookout but it was right at the start point.

Dry. Grippy. Buff. Only one or two puddles in the singletrack, easily avoided.

Enjoy! Smiling
