Accomodation in Dungog or surrounds

Hi, Can anyone reccomend a house for rent in Dungog for a Friday and Saturday Night in July

Need 4 bedrooms for 5 riders.

Looks like there is very little on Stayz.

Thanks

Has anyone seen (or want to take a guess at) what Awaba is like at the moment?

Getting into club riding

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Hi all,

Just inquiring what the best way might be to getting into a local club. I am currently doing most rides on my own, which is getting a bit boring really. I would like to get into just general events, & helping out etc. Small enduro events, light racing etc.

Anyone have any experience on how it all works.

Thanks.

Jason.

Glenrock . Tuesday or and Sunday . 6:00pm . @ Fernleigh Track entrance to Link Trail . following trail marked dark green .

I liked the dodgy De Luge trail and would also consider starting from there, but as i'm new to the mountains of Glenrock and found that De Luge started in a strange place and not sure if others would know the depot entrance to De Luge, i would say the subject idea is the best place to start.

I'm open for spontaneous mapping if i can get a large enough group together.

Hope to see someone there.

Sun 4th March - Clean Up Wallaroo Day

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

As you may be aware next Sunday is Clean Up Australia Day.

Nifty and I have been in touch about cleaning up some of the crap in the bush at Wallaroo and eventually he came across the East Seaham Clean Up Australia Day Group. We've been told that the NPWS ranger will be attending and there will be a skip at the end of Lone Pine Rd (which is one of the main roads through Wallaroo for those not familiar with the area).

Awaba Build Days

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

The Nationals are coming to Awaba and to prepare our home turf to welcome some of the best riders in the country (and the world) we are having some build days. The first will be this coming weekend - both Saturday and Sunday.

If you can spare a bit time, come on out and bring some tools with you. There is work to be done on both the Down Hill and Cross Country tracks. Meet in the carpark from 7:30am. For further information or a point of contact once you get there, call Dallas (0407 003265) or Rick (0448 933482)

Hors Category Climb

I wasnt going to post this as a hot lap as it probably wont be that contested well given the distance from Sydney, but if you're looking for an Hors Catégorie climb or happen to be in the area, then this is the closest I've found to Sydney. At 800m vertical climb it falls under Strava's HC class.

It's a dirt road with some corrugations and cattle grates located at barrington tops. I did it on a mountain bike (albeit 20 years old), but it could really be done on a roadie running 25c tyres.

Have fun!
