Berowra Valley National and Regional Park survey
If you're like me your probably getting sick of telling NPWS the same thing over and over again. But they are reviewing the plan of management for berowra valley and are specifically asking questions about mountain biking at stringy bark ridge (aka the old pony club) in pennant hills.
The survey is linked below and i get the impression that some more MTB responses would be good.

MTB just got slagged off on the ABC!!
On the ABC's 7:30 program we were just lumped in with 4wd's & Moto's who are causing damage to land near Menai which the local Aboriginal land council wants to develop into 2000+ homes. An opponent of this said "you can see the damage that the 4wd's, Motorbikes & Mountain bikes are causing from coming in here".I just knew that this lady was going to mention MTB after those 2 that were mentioned.I will do some googling & see if the lady can be contacted & get an explanation or reason of her thoughts!!.
Stuffing it for everyone Part 2
Hi all
An increasingly common question by a number of land managers is if they were to provide new single track how do they ban Strava racers from their tracks?
The ones that yell out Strava like its then a legitimate right to own the track. Not the riders just out for a ride. The problem is far greater than pre Strava days as there have always been fast riders.
This is a becoming a risk and liability concern as many trails have become race track.
Can the offenders be easily found or is there a degree of privacy possible that would prevent this?
NSW National Parks Mountain Biking Survey

Sydney's Bare Creek Mountain Bike Park
Bare Creek Mountain Bike Park - Sound too good to be true?
Maybe not. A few dedicated individuals have been attending hours of meetings over the last few years. It may be going to pay big dividends.
There is a meeting for riders being run by paid consultants with IMBA also speaking followed by questions and answers for riders.
Its not yet definite but it is looking better than even odds that riders may have $3.5million dollars to spend on a mountain bike park. This is after the completion of site preparation initial civil works.
URGENT - Possible threat and Opportunity - Review of Land Zoning of ALL Red Hill and Oxy

Council Elections
I wouldn't ever want to be a one-issue voter (the P.U.M.P. Party lives on), however does anyone know who the candidates in the Warringah Shire Council election are who are supportive of mountain biking on the Northern Beaches?
Oldandslow, are you standing?
