Ride Sydney Nth to Avoca - any good tracks on the way
Hi, I need to go to Avoca from near Manly Dam this Friday or Sat. I was thinking of riding up.
Opt 1 is via Bobbin Head & the Old Pacific Highway. Anyone know of some good tracks on the way to make it a bit more interesting - nothing too technical given I'll be doing about 100km.
Opt 2 is via Terrry Hills tracks then out to Palm Beach - Ettalong Ferry.
Any thoughts or other suggestions greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Hovenring, Circular Cycle Bridge
Check out this solution to keeping bicycle commuters from having to deal with a busy intersection. Obviously some countries approach to cyclists are better then others

Rather than give you all the information on Motorcycles i have joined the forum to educate and be educated on the problems MTB's are having with motos and vice versa.

Do any of you remember Omar Khalifa from Bicycle NSW? The period he spent in charge was one of the most active, high impact and effective periods in the history of BNSW advocacy, and he was very popular with members.
He ended up resigning after the board used proxies to defeat his plans to reform the organisation to make it more accountable to members.
The good news is he has been far from idle. From bicycles.net.au:

are the bikeshops or online shoppers the greedy ones?
I've just spent 5 weeks in UK, Germany, Spain, France & Italy.
I found the only expensive part was was Petrol & road tolls in France & Italy. Food, alcohol, clothing, accomodation was dirt cheap. http://www.smh.com.au/data-point/rising-price-of...
Lance Armstrong ;)
Adaptation from a classic joke, thought it may cause some amusement in an otherwise grim situation:
"A MAN DIED and was confronted by his Almighty Maker. He watched God take a clock off the shelf of a countless number of other clocks. The analogue clock was showing 12:10 and it had his name engraved in it.
“Not perfect, but pretty good,“ God said, and explained, “I have a clock for everyone. It is programmed to move forward 15 seconds each time the subject lies.“
The man stood in the room whilst God went into his office to get further records of the man.
Armstrong to Launch Legal Action Against Self
Found this on bicycles.net.au:
Armstrong to launch legal action against self.
By Todd FlandisIn breaking news this afternoon it has been revealed that Lance Armstrong has taken the unprecedented step of launching legal action against himself.
Suing for an undisclosed sum, the lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court in Austin, lists loss of income, emotional distress and damage to reputation amongst the reasons for the lawsuit.
Sacrilege or cool? Super Light MX bike!
Kiwis build the world's lightest MX bike....based on downhill bike components....
I know it's a sacrilege ...but cool at the same time.
The economics of stolen bicycles
Interesting article on the US situation, but the same principles would apply here. Don;t know if anyone remembers, but there was a spate of thefts from Sydney CBD offices last year.
