gazza cocked up!
due to my procrastonistic nature ive missed out on an entry to dirtworks so if anyone pulls out of the 50 or 100km i'll buy the entry off them.
also ive decided not to do the sydney 24hr solo as ive heard there's some nasty climbs and i dont think it'll be a very nice intro to 24hr solo racing. if anyone pulls out of a moderately competitive team i'll be more than happy to jump on board and do my best.
yours hopefully,
gazza

Missing the BBQ ;-( Crossing the Mekong in Laos
G'day Nobmob guys and gals!
Sorry for missing the BBQ - Benji and I will be there in spirit
Yesterday we did some more MTB'ing on our Vietnam -> Laos -> Cambodia family trip.
We stayed in the ancient Royal Capital of Laos (Luang Prabang) and crossed the mighty Mekong with a longtail boat...bikes and all...
Some more (dusty & hilly) cycling in the hinterland brought us to some remote hilltribe villages and challenging river crossings.
We would have been terribly lost if not for our local guide Chao which showed us the way.

Anyone interested?

Paging Guinness Lovers
Dear all,
I had an email from Leeza who has registered here (check her profile: http://nobmob.com/user/1288).
She writes,
I'll will be in Sydney for 5 weeks over Christmas and January and I am in a mountain biking club called Epic in Ireland.I would really like to get out on the bike and on the trails in Sydney, I can offer a pint of Guinness to anyone who can help:)
Any suggestions? Particularly on where she can hire/beg/borrow a bike from. Come on now, don't be shy!

Lockyers trail
After a fantastic day's riding at Lithgow Alex and I were keen for some more, I mean really how much is too much MTBing? Anyhow we went to Lockyers trail today, 4 of us rode down it and back up Berghoffer's Pass. Lockyers is a really good techy downhill trail that would bring a smile to anyone and Berghoffer's pass is a pleasant scenic ride back up. David and Jordon had to leave after this and Alex and myself decided there was time to do Lawsons Long Alley which is also great, starts fast and downhill then rocky and downhill and finishes with flowing single track.
