SOLD: Titus Racer-X frame and Reba fork

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

For Sale: Titus Racer-X frame and Reba fork - Size: large.
Here is an opportunity to get one of the most respected cross country race frames in outstanding condition (apart from some minor cable rub). 18 Months old, has carbon stays and swing link, & Fox RP23 shock.
I’ve used this as my race bike for the last year and a half, with good success and many happy memories. I’ll be keeping the running gear, and selling the bare frame & shock with a set of Rockshox Reba SL forks (recently serviced and setup for 120mm travel) and Cane Creek headset.

Buy/Borrow : Marzocchi Shock pump adapter - suit 05 Bomber 66s

Hi Guys,

I'm after the stock Marzocchi adapter to suit 05 Bomber 66 VF2 forks. The adapter screws into the fork and presents a schrader valve to be used with a normal shock pump. If you've got one or seen one, you'll know what I'm talking about.

The local LBS has had one on back order for several months, but I'm sick of waiting.

Happy to pay in beers if you have one that I can borrow...

Cheers,
Scott.

Next Family & Kids Ride...!

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Had a great time on the Terrey Hills family ride today. Let's plan another one (shorter) soon!

We had Staffe (Stefan) and Simon join us, and also bumped into Stephe and family on the way back (he couldn't get his kids out of bed in time). Key learnings: use a shorter trail (some dropped out early), and start the ride at a later start time!

Despite all that, fun was had by all that came..and it was a joy seeing the youngsters charging along and using any small rock-lip on the track to launch their front wheels!

Here are some images from today's ride:

SS 69er

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

SS = Sweet & Simple
I took the soon to be 69er (went out with a 26" front wheel) for its first ride.
Sweet & Simple, need a lot more legs! for the hills...and need a wider Handle bar, as Damien suggested already!
I look forward to use it with the 29" front wheel soon.
Damien, it is a nice ride on a SS, I could get used to it!
I can understand you guys, Damien, Paul, Andrew... it is a nice, different kind of ride.
Lets see what the 29" front wheel and a wider Handle bar will do to it! The wider bar is defiantly needed!
Q: Which handle bar should I get?

I am planning on going for a training paced ride for roughly 3 hours tomorrow from 7am.
I wouldn't mind some company, and am open to suggestion on where. But somewhere on the northern beaches was the plan.

So anybody up for a ride in the morning?

Due to the massive number of ramblings on the original thread, here's the one for clarification.

Pricing for will be as of last time worked out at $105.50. Yes, yes... it is a bit pricey. And some people think there is demand for full custom! Click on the picture for the sizing:

Ayups Lights - Lost at Manly Dam

Hi all,

If you are riding Manly Dam today, please be on the lookout for a set of Ayups lights. I believe my handlebar lights have fallen off somewhere on the standard loop.

Lets hope I hear some good news from someone!! Smiling

(I have also posted this message on Farkin too.)

Thank you!

Starting time is negotiable as i'm not such an early riser and need to catch the ferry from the city.

Bike trailers for kids

Has anyone out there had experience with bike trailers ?

I have to drop off my 3 year old at childcare a few mornings a week and the best option at the moment is to use bike ( then ride to work). I'm considering getting a child trailer.

If anyone has some words of wisdom, I'd like to hear them.

DH jersey

Hi all,

There is currently some discussion about doing another Nobmob lycra jersey order.

As coincidence has it, and for those interested in this kind of thing, I thought I should mention that some of the 'Mob' are currently in the design phase of a DH jersey. A version of this should be available to view in another month or so. The jersey will be in the typical DH/FR long sleeve sort, and mainly black and blue in colour.

If you are interested, you may want to save some money as we envisage a unit cost of about $80. So please, watch this space! Eye-wink

Help with new bike selection

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hi

Am just returning to mountain biking and in the process of bike selection.

Have been away from the sport for 8 years. I used to ride a hard tail Klein with Marzocchi shocks which I loved but it got stolen. For various reasons I didn't buy another bike. However am now dead keen to get back into it and looking to buy a solid cross country dual suspension mainly for riding around Sydney Northern Beaches trails.

SOLD: Avid Juicy metal sintered pads 4 sale

I have 3 pack of genuine Avid metal sintered pads for sale
These fit all Juicy hydraulic brakes and BB7's
I bought these with my brakes but I could never stop them squeeling
So I now use organic pads

Price is $20 per set
I also have 2 pairs of barely used pads removed from my bike for anyone who takes all 3

Would prefer to deliver at a ride
But can send if you pay the cost (wouldn't be much)

SOLD! Brand New, 'Large' 2008 Scott 24 Hour Jersey

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

CORC recently had a clear out sale at which I bought a few items. Sadly the 'Large' jersey ordered is more like 'Medium' so is a bit too snug for me.

So anyone enter the event (or want to pretend they did) and want to take if off my hands for 50 bucks?

It's 'Large' (more like medium) white with white on black 'SCOTT' on the sides and 'Ride.24.08' across the chest, 'A decade of dirt' on the back. Red highlights on the sleeves. Large red mud blotch on the back top. Usual sponsors logos everywhere. Oh, surely you've seen them? Eye-wink
