Ooh, bugger!
Was riding home last night via Spit West, and after passing really wide around a bunch of dog-walkers that were scattered all over the marina park shared path, I sat down a bit awkwardly and my seat shifted, tilting backwards.
Bugger. The bolt's come loose.
I ride to the end of the park and lean the bike against a park bench. Out comes the multitool and I loosen the bolt so I can level the seat.
Titus Rockstar. Any good?
Hi All
After 6mths owning my first 29er, (a fast ali hard tail ) I'm now looking at stepping up to a full bouncer.
I'm only after the frame as I already have some good wheels, Reba 15mm 120 taper forks, brakes, crank bars & stem so I'm only really after the frame.
I would love a Pivot 429 or Tallboy but the budget isn't there at the moment.
Within my current budget I have recently seen a Turner Sultan frame for $1300 & a Titus Rockstar for $1100.
Any thoughts on these frames for mainly trail riding with the occasion race wearing faster, lighter wheels.
Cheers

Grease or loc-tite
Hi,
Opinions wanted.
I just bought a new 10mm QR skewer to replace the old one that got threaded.

Should I put grease or loc-tite or nothing on the threads?
Looking for bike advice and suggestions
Hey guys
New to the forums so first off Hello!
Basically I need some bike advice from more knowledgeable folk. I've caught
the biking bug a while back and mainly rode for fitness (mtb on-road) but I want
to get into off road mountain biking and maybe a bit of trail riding but
still riding for fitness also.
So I kinda need a bit of an all around bike. My budget (stretched) is about $2800
and bare in mind I'm located in Perth so I'm limited to what brands are available
in store.
So far I've looked at the 2013 Specialized Camber Comp
Rear derailleur advice
Hi everyone,
I had a big damage on my rear derailleur yesterday (a tree branch broke it ! damn it) so it is time to buy another one. Previously I had a 9-speed SRAM X5, provided with my TREK6000 series. I don't mind shimano or SRAM or whatever... What sort of good one you guys can advise for roughly 100doll (+/- 50) ?
I've seen chainreactioncycles has a pretty good range of derailleurs but the question is which one to pick up...

Thanks for that
DT Swiss Forks.
I just finished fixing my XRC 100 forks. There's not much info on the internet about them so if you need some tips I might be able to help you out.
Rubena Tyres
Has anyone had any experience with/know anything about Rubena tyres?
front tyre. 2.1 or 2.35 ???
im just starting to get into a bit of mountain biking. Mainly up at Mundaring on the fire trails and other tracks.
I have a few spare tyres lying around the shed. Would you recommend a 2.1 or a 2.35 at the front.
the bike is a 26" hardtail.
Thanks.
Chainring size upgrade 44t > 48t
My commuter hardtail is need of new chain rings, so i was thinking about swapping out the 44t to something bigger like a 46 or even a 48. Has anyone sucessfully done this and if so what (if any) issues* do I need to beware of?
Cheers

What makes a stem a "Road Bike" stem?
I ask because I have been looking for a specific stem for several months and have finally found one that matches the length, size, rise and most importantly colour that I have been searching for but it is a "road" stem.
It's cnc al with a 4 bolt face plate and only 80mm long, and 145gm for a 110mm version, is there a reason I shouldn't use it on an MTB?
