Parra Lake - Easy Cruise
Lake Parramatta Car Park
A friend and I will be cruising up the fire trail to the single track and then up the another fire trail to the XC single track on top of the hill. We will then do the DH track from the XC trail down and then ride single track up stream towards Carlingord (crossing Bettington rd). Eventually we will trun around and ride back to the Parra Lake Car Park for a bite to eat at about 12. Parra Lake has a Kiosk / Restaurant.
We might be going for a dip in the lake before lunch. Bring towels/bikinis.
Take Burke St off Church then Lackey and Illalong.
Early Oxford Falls...
Whippet, Simon and I are planning a cruise around Oxford Falls... A fun cruise! Thinking the easy way down the downhill, nursery rhymes, (probably powerlines ...I KNOW!! Peter!!!) and then moon rocks etc – of course that could all change on the day!
However! we are starting at 6.30 because the guys have to get home to their children...
MEEEE
Riding the oaks fire trail early this sunday.
Meet at glenbrook station in time to catch the 0653 train to woodford.
Will be riding this sunday with a canadian friend who is fairly new to mountain biking so will be taking a fairly cruisy pace except for the long down hills which are much to fun to be going slow on. we will be driving from Ranwich very early sunday morning (have room for one more if anybody wants a lift.) with the plan being to catch the glenbrook train at 0653 to woodford, may also look at having a swim when we get to the bottom before riding back up the road to the train station. the more the merrier
Parents & kids ride (Narrabeen Lagoon, part there of)
Narrabeen Lagoon: The public carpark on the lagoon next to shops at the bus terminal on the left as you approach the bridge off Pittwater rd.
My 8 year old daughter Casey can no longer wait to be a member of NoBMoB therefore this Sat we hope to start a new trend of kids rides. I have chosen this ride as it is around 7km return trip and near dead flat (we can do shorter if younger kids tire), the trail hugs the lagoon and takes in nice bush single track. Casey and her brother Nic 13 have ridden it many times.
We are riding regardless.
