Capital Punishment is the mountain bike enduro that takes in Canberra's best single track. It includes a 50km and 100km options. This is the only time you can link it all together - Kowen Forest, Majura Pines, Black Mountain and Mt Stromlo.
It is not too hilly and if it is dry it is fast and fun! There is the festival at the finish which includes jumping castles and a kids race. And to top it all off there is the After Party and Presentations at the Crowne Plaza.

Glenbrook dirt carpark opposite the shops.
Glenbrook National Park, nothing too hard.
GNR
Wisemans Ferry - by the East ferry crossing (turn right bottom of the hill). There is a good parking area by the kiosk here.
I'm having a spin out here tomorrow morning - I have a curfew to be back in town by 12pm so planning on doing GNR, then the track up behind the Buddhist retreat, up over the hill and down Donny's track, along the bottom of the valley, up Simpson's track and home down GNR and Finches line. At a reasonable pace - it takes me about 50mins from the ferry to the the intersection of GNR and the Western Access track so not race pace but no mucking around. If anyone feels like a decent hit out in the morning feel free to come along.
Manly Dam - volunteer trail maintenance day

A bit of everything on this one, a bit of climbing involved so not really newbie friendly. What goes up must come down though .
