Public bike maintenance station
You know (if you like to ski/board) that most resorts will have tools for fixing your bindings, etc. at ski lifts.
Well - a city in the US has brought this to local cyclists with these public repair stations. Very cool

Manly Dam update for 05 Apr
Bucketed rain here all night long! Given that the track had only just barely dried out ( how someone gave it a green light yesterday I'll never know) it'll be completely flooded now. I suggest we show the rangers how pro-active we all are by staying away.
Supposed to keep raining too

Ultimate single speed commuter
Saw this on a Melbourne high st last week. Didn't appear to be there for some promotional reason, just a regular commuter - no lights though I see.....
Needs a set of fat tyres and then it'll go anywhere. Forget 29ers, this is the future

Could have been nasty

Could have possible done some serious damage to someone coming down the trail at speed......

Grinding sound of the rotor...
Hello everybody, hope you all are doing good.
I have a bit of problem about tune-in the rear Avid Elixir 5 hydraulic w/6” rotors, its a bit irritating and also I've notice some little change in my braking. I'm trying to tune it so to remove the grinding sound, but every time I tighten the lock and try to spin it again I can here the grinding sound again.
So I'm thinking if there is a problem with the rotor? or the pads.
I there anybody here experience that before and if so can you share it with me it will definitely help me
Thanks

The Rock Wallaby - Mountain Bike Enduro
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
North end of Burke St, Appin. There's a small parking area here at the trail head.
Note that the map shows Market Street connecting Appin Rd to this location but that is actually a firetrail and will not work for drivers who should take King St (next block South) and enter from there.
Appin rocks! And Appin has lots of rocks which is why it's so fun to ride! The Rock Wallaby enduro was born at the request of the township of Appin as part of their Bicentenary celebrations and to highlight what an oasis of singletracky goodness Appin has become.
This inaugural event will be held on Sunday 15 May, with the kind assistance of the people of Appin and Wollongong Mountain Bike Club (WMBC). In 2011 it has the dual purpose of celebrating the town's Bicentennial year as well as introducing an exciting new enduro event to the Australian race calendar.

Manly Dam update for 03 Apr
I rode the pipeline down through Allambie on the way back from Cascades this arvo. There's some obvious rain/runoff damage and one of the wooden retaining logs at the top of the long boardwalk has had the ground around it completely washed away. Proceed with extreme caution through this section. Otherwise the downhill run through Allambie was fun, slightly damp, but nothing to cause concern.
