Cascades update for 03 Apr

Rode cascades and Heath this afternoon (2 April). Conditions not too bad. A little wet and washed out in areas but very rideable.

Terrey Hills update for 03 Apr
Perimeter trail behind the houses was pretty good today, with only the occasional wet section most of which you could manual over. From the Japanese school and onwards it was excellent.
Long trail was also good, with the pinch section at the end being the most rideable-looking I've seen it for awhile. Still didn't 'clean' it though - #$@@%y chain suck! Time for a new middle ring methinks.

Centre Track update for 03 Apr
Dry today, with some mud only on the uphill side of waterbars. The quagmire from the recent grading efforts at the top of the trail has all dried out. Some of the steeper uphill sections are a little loose thanks to the midweek rains washing out some of the track surface and leaving the coarse red gravel behind.

Duck Hole/Terrey Hills Trail update for 03 Apr
Pretty dry today despite the midweek rains, with some puddles on the uphill side of water bars only.
The deep sand drift just after the entrance next to the fire brigade is all washed away, leaving masses of loose babyhead rocks.
Lots of loose rocks scattered on the downhill side of the waterbars on the fast downhill section, the compaction line is pretty vague in spots. Might be an idea to wear some shinguards if you want to do this section fast!

RNP Night Lap
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
MEETING POINT IS DIFFERENT TO THE NORMAL RIDE DATABASE. Meet just past the Primary school at the end of Grays Point Rd, grays Point
Well as the clocks have changed & it's getting darker earlier it's time to get the regular night laps going.
Will be doing a Full lap of the RNP
This is a training ride the pace will be moderate with no stopping
Bring lights as it will be dark

Loose rocks @ Lake Parra
I'm not sure if it was kids being kids or walkers trying to deter riders or mtb'ers in for a challenge.
But can the asshats who are putting large loose rocks right in the middle of downhill lines at Lake Parra please ... dont!
We spend a lot of time maintaining these trails for everyone's enjoyment and we have a good dialogue with the rangers.
I saw kids on a family ride who had these rocks flung back at each other and a boy fall off.
Not to mention my own otb at a section I've done a hundred times.

All good, track is in great condition. Rollercoaster, graveyard and the section after that were great fun

go for green-seen only 2 small wet patches on the 'Twisties' which has tree cover, the rest is all good!
