Lanyard Epoxied to Garmin 305
I've used concrete repair epoxy (P1). Plumbers and civil engineering types would be familiar with this stuff. Any plumber you know who does stormwater and sewer drainage will have some in his truck. You only need a micro amount. It's comes in two tubs, black and white, you mix it 50/50. Give it 24hrs to set. You can get a faster one (PF). It's used to repair concrete and stick things together.
I think any little stick of superglue would do it. I just happen to have some P1 as I used to inspect and repair concrete things in a past life.

Average speed
What is a good average speed to be able to ride at?
I realise there are a lot of variables involved - age, road or trail, bike type, fitness, weather etc etc.
However I don't seem to be able to get above an average speed of 20km/h, and this includes both off-road and on the road. (However with the same bike - Scott Spark mountain bike.)
I did some road riding yesterday and today and was surprised to find my average speed was not really any higher than I've done in the past on fire trails. I didn't think my fitness was off by that much and was expecting something higher.

North Turramurra update for 15 Jul
Sniggle from Samuel King Oval through to Macrae Pl has a couple of boggy bits, but otherwise OK.
Fire trail from Macrae Pl through to Grosvenor St has a few wet patches as well, but is pretty good overall.
Sniggle loop off the end of Golden Jubilee Oval has been tidied up nicely.
The council or NPWS big slasher has been through on the Grosvenor Trail and the bit from Barton Cres through to Grosvenor, so some deraiileur damage potential here.
The fire trail link from near Clissold St down into Lovers Jump Ck and up to the bridge near the Stonecrop Rd exit remains closed due to Water Board work going on down on Lovers Jump Ck.
