Aaron Gwin wins Sea Otter DH on a 29er

Yep, I did the double-take too. But it's true. Apparently riding a Spesh S-works Enduro 29er.

Not a lot of huck-to-flat on this course, but an interesting result nonetheless.

The Oaks update for 28 Apr

Area:
The Oaks
Status:
Green/Open

A bit smoky down at the gorge from yesterdays back burn but other than that, nothing to report.

Riding from Glenbrook to Woodford and back was probably the most boring ride I've done!

Strava/Garmin help:- how do I separate an activity in two

I did a ride yesterday and forgot to reset my Garmin. I then went and did the Oaks this morning and it added it to yesterdays ride, including the straight line distance between the two rides.

Is there anyway of separating the two rides or even just deleting the first ride?

Here's the ride if that helps:

Here it is on Garmin connect if that's easier:

Terrey Hills update for 28 Apr

Status:
Green/Open

Went for a ride this morning taking in a few different trails - as I'm lazy I'll just create the one status update to cover all of them Smiling. They are all green (just).

Perimeter from jap school entrance - mostly ok, few unavoidable spots of standing water.
Cowan - fine, no issues. The bit of long trail I did (to the start of cowan) was fine as well.
St ives sniggle and single track next to mona vale rd - fine.
Cascades - only just green. There are numerous standing water sections along ridge and lower cranbourne, Quarry trail was fine and steep as usual Smiling

Giant goes 650b

http://reviews.mtbr.com/sneak-peak-giant-650b-en...

Got talking with the guys from MC Cycles who were doing monthly bike services in our garage (freeby organised by the building manager no less!) and they mentioned Giant are bringing out 650b Anthem and Trance models this year, including carbon

Cracked free wheels after 6 months

Anyone ever seen anything like this? Looks like a casting fault that has resulted in a fracture on the free wheel. Only 6 months old. Could be a warranty job me thinks
