Cascades update for 27 Jul
Erosion in action! With the 4WD coming through early last week, & the following days of heavy rain, the track has changed quite a bit. Where there was once loose sand & clay, gone! The mushy clay potholes created by the 4WD have been scoured out & are 2-3 times bigger than they were a week ago.
A lot of newly exposed rock.
Track itself is mostly damp sand, with the occasional large puddle that can easily be ridden around.

Manly Dam update for 27 Jul

Good afternoon mountain bikers,
We have just completed an inspection of the Manly Dam mountain bike track and wish to advise that the track will remain CLOSED until further notice.
The recent 60 year + record rainfall has had a significant impact on the track. Despite closure signage, email, twitter and website updates, riders continue to use the track, contributing to further damage. If you aware of any riders using the track please pass along our message that the track is closed – this will help to give the track a chance to recover.
We will provide another update Thursday afternoon.

Just about to book some accommodation for the Husky.
Before I do does anybody have an update on the status of the Husky after the drenching the sth coast has had the last couple of weeks ?
Ourimbah State Forest update for 26 Jul
Very wet, the graveyard is 90 percent under water and there is a tree over the track at jurasic park. Would not even bother going until the sun comes out for a couple of days straight to dry up the trail.

I have taken up mountain biking in Canada for the last few summers and I am coming home for 4 months and am keen to meet other girls who ride...or at least people around my age, (Im 32), who share the same passion.
