XT replacement chainring
Hi,
Just about to order this as a chainring replacement for my XT hollowtec II (M770) crankset:

However, someone posted in the review that it won't fit with these.
I'm confused, looks like the right thing and would have ordered it already if not for that review...
On that note, what's your experience with any of the non shimano brands?

Oxford Falls on Sunday
Am thinking about riding up Oxford Hills fire trail on Sunday morning, about 7.30am start, if anyone interested. Have done Cascades but not the Falls and only know it through this site. Will probably meet down Morgan Rd.
New bike??
Alright. Its that time when im considering getting a new bike but far out im so confused. Don't get me wrong i love my trance... a lot but i just think its wrong for the type of riding i want to do.
Now what im thinking of is a longer travel trail bike / light all mountain so i can start riding stuff that is a bit bigger i.e. oxford falls, some red hill but still be able to ride cascades with out having too much trouble getting back up those hills.
And now what about a 29er :S is it worth looking at a 29er for this sorta riding?

Registration
Pre race registration is available by emailing Steve the poinstscore officer: [email protected]
We STRONGLY suggest you use this to help minimize queues on race day.
Simply send through your Name, 2011 Race number and MTBA License number and skip the registration queue. Just go to the head of the line and pay and your ready to race.
On the day the registration tent will be set up in the clearing at the end of the down hill track.
Laps numbers depend on conditions and sometimes the course is modified...

Near new 2011 Yeti 575 Race build White with XT 30 speed.
Have only ridden 5 times, then broke my shoulder = 9 months recovery.
It's in excellent condition with only a few marks on the bar ends and some very slight scuffs on the chain stay - you have to look closely though.
Every time I look at it I go to gear up, so as I'm going to be off the bike for a year, I might as well send it to a home where it will come out of semi retirement...
This is a seriously awesome bike that fly's DH as well as climbing like a mountain goat - really awesome Trail Bike.

The track is 95% dry...Creeks are still up.
