Climbs with a view
I've never done an 'easy' Rockytrail event and, despite entering as a team for the first round of the 2016 series, this race was no different.
A beautiful autumn day greeted nearly 300 riders at Glenrock, Newcastle for the inaugural Shimano MTB GP at this venue. I'd done two reco laps a few weeks prior and was impressed by what I had seen, however a late course change by the organisers meant that half the course was sight-unseen for me and, according to a few in the know, 'had a few hill climbs'.
Getting muddy with curly wurly bars
*Real* CX where it doesn't matter and nobody cares if it turns into a mudfest. This could be worth keeping an eye on.

Has anyone got a lefty tool (refer pic) I can borrow or buy. It's for the green bit in the foto. Cheers Minter.
Manly Dam -Hazard Reduction Burn this weekend
two burns this weekend, one of the Allambie side of the trail near Southern Cross Way this Sunday and another tomorrow on the North Balgowlah side at Warringah St near the Nth Balgowlah School. not much by way of additional detail on the RFS site
(there's a burn happening right now (7:30pm Friday) and looks to be somewhere around Forrestville/Davidson judging by the amount of smoke I can see)....

just got work there are some hazard reduction burns happening on the Allambie side this weekend ... Sunday I think?

Very Disturbing
Read in today's Manly Daily, in regards to a young fella enjoying his ride home on the Lagoon Trail at Narrabeen Lakes at around 7.30pm.
The Cyclist was Threatened and also hit with a Pole of some sorts.
The attacker has been said to be wearing a Scream Movie Mask, maybe something to keep an eye out when traveling around that area.

99.8% dry up there.
Usual puddles still have a small amount of water.

Lube (Minds out of the gutter thanks)
So my new LBS doesn't sell my favourite lube, so they've put me onto Finish Line Dry Lube, anyone using/used it and what do you think, any good?
