The finale of the series at Mt Annan.

Shimano MTB GP Round 4 - Ourimbah
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Enter via Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. On your right will be 'TreeTops' for the kids and it's large-ish carpark. Carry on past there and the first small clearing which is were parking used to be, and is where the 'Browns' single track turns (you might see riders on your left here). Please do not park in this car park.
Parking and official trail head is now designated a further 350m or so up the road where there is a larger area. There's a CCOMTB notice board here by the trail entrance (on the left as you drive up the hill). Park up nose to curb or as directed.
My home track. Love this place.

Shimano MTB GP Round 3 - Stromlo
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Uriarra Road, just up from the Uriarra Road/Coppins Crossing Road turnoff.
Round 3 of the GP series takes us to Stromlo. I haven't set the trails yet. Need between 8-10km. Ideas? Wishes?

Diamonds in the Dirt - Rocky Trail's Women's only race
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Just up Jenkins Road from corner with Mount Faulk Road.
This will be an event for any woman who rides and already races a mountain bike. Dreamt up by me, Rocky Trail’s Juliane Wisata, it will be run in a friendly and encouraging event environment, where it doesn’t matter if you’re young or old, have kids or not, prefer lycra or baggy shorts, whether you’re into pink or not at all. Whether you’ve just started riding or never participated in a mountain bike event before. I want you to come, if you love racing to share your passion for riding and pass on that racing bug.

Mont 24, now don't need 2 riders ASAP
*edit*
We needed 2 riders ASAP to make it happen. Even 1 will do...
Seriously middle of the field contenders looking for another 1 or 2 riders. Male, female, non gender specific...we're not fussy.
Even better if you're over 40 as you'll get the jokes and understand the pop culture references. Even more better if you're fast and can drag down our average lap times.
Team orders consist of:
a) Don't be a dick,
2) Have a rider on track at all times (slick transitions, no transition out of your sleeping bag in camp),

National Elite XC Champs
After a last minute call (Tuesday afternoon, with the race on Saturday am) to race Elite Nationals XC Champs, I was feeling a little nervous. My old age, allied with the fact that I have been training solely for marathon racing, meant that any ‘raw’ speed might be lacking.
The one thing you know about XCO Nationals – its all about raw speed.
The other thought that you have is about the course. World Cup courses are becoming increasingly technical, and the National Champs aspire to be as close to a World Cup XC course as possible.
Oh great….

Shimano MTB Grand Prix Round 2 - Singleton
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Maison dieu Rd. Just near the 100kph sign on the right, climb the steps over the fence for the trail head.
After the rocky trails in Glenrock with ocean views, Round 2 of the Shimano MTB GP will take you to the next brand-new series venue in Singleton!
Our race director Martin scouted out the trails for you at a local club race and was hooked instantly! He says they will complement our series tracks with open paddocks and singletrails galore! It's a very fast and flowy track and will challenge your endurance skills.
HMBA is our hosting club and we are very happy with our ongoing partnership.

Myall River Track - Hawks Nest / Mungo Brush
I tried to walk this track years ago, but it was closed due to flooding. So this week, I took the trusty Niner and an adventurous mate out to see what it was like.

Manly Dam update for 20 Mar
Was going to call it green after lap 2 but then it rained, and turned to slush in the space of 15 minutes.

Thredbo update for 19 Mar
Rode the Valley trail to Lake Crankenback today. 36km round trip. Brilliant trail. Easier there than on the away back! Probably a 400m elevation change. So tacky and flows beautifully. Superb. Lifts tomorrow
