Is Kev C now 2 way?

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hi all,
Sorry if this is old news - been off for a bit.
Riding Kev Costner yesterday and today in the up/North direction I nearly ran into some riders coming the other way. Both times we had a civil chat and I advised it was a one way trail and they said it is now 2 way.
At the top of the trail where there used to be a "wrong Way" sign it has been covered with a sign saying "two way - down riders to give way".
Is this real or has someone just made their own call?

Manly Dam update for 26 Mar

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Mostly fine except for the trail after 19th Hole to the playground having puddles and getting pretty chopped up. Did the extended loop and Bewildered Possum has a few wet patches that are also getting chopped up.

Not green.

Hopefully the trail fairy won't mention today's transgression to the puncture fairy.

Is the mountain bike media to blame for our trail access issues?

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

An interesting and thought provoking piece on singletracks.com.

Lots of long-term access is being lost in the US, arguably because of dominant trail user groups such as horse-riders and hikers simply not liking mountain bikes because they're "not like us" rather than because of any evidence-based reasoning. And our experience here has been much the same.

MTB and trail running - Canberra

Hello

Could anyone give me a pointer on a good trail in Canberra -

My fiancee is a trail runner and I will be riding my Mountain Bike.

Which trails wold you suggest so that we can run/ride together or in close proximity - without too much mtb traffic if we are on the same track!?

thanks!!!

Riding around Mossy Point and Mogo

Hi, I'm off to stay with friends over Easter at Mossy point. Does anyone know any trails in the area? There is a mention of Mogo on a previous line but there wasn't a lot of detail to the person who doesn't understand the area.
Thanks,.

Is Shimano 1 * 11 better than 1 * 10?

Looking to upgrade my XC bike from 2 * 9 to one front chainring. It seems that my existing wheels will fit a Shimano 10 or 11 speed cassette.

I would like a 11-40 rear cassette so it seems 11 speed is simpler. Anyone have some experience with the 11 speed XTR and one chainring?
