It's my party and I'll ride if I want to

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Well, I turn 21 again on Saturday Eye-wink and it looks like it might be dry most of the week leading up to it so I'm thinking of organising an easy training / newby friendly ride. The question is WHERE?

Thinking either:
Duckholes -> Centre -> Perimeter -> Long;
Cascades; or
A couple of laps around Manly Dam.

I'm still rebuilding a fitness foundation after a somewhat ordinary last 12 months, and had a chest cold last week, so my "training" pace is going to be pretty mild.

City commute

Anybody have a good route to the city from Lane Cove area? There is the cycle path which goes a fair way but I'm not sure where it comes off. Any Garmin/GPS maps? Might be the only riding I get in if the rain keeps up.
Cheers

Yellow Loop is OK, but there is issues in the low lying areas of the Blue and Red Loops.

If you go, best to stick to the 7km yellow loop.

The Oaks

I'm thinking about hitting The Oaks on Sunday Morning if it doesn't bucket tomorrow/Sunday. Has anyone been up there this week? Is it as wet up there as on the coast after the rain this week?
