Oaks Up and Back Twilight Ride

I was hoping someone may be interested in doing this on Saturday 21st - this would be the week before Seans birthday ride (my training ride for a training ride!)
I realise other people still have a life outside of bike riding but sadly mine is being turned around as the panic grows for this stupid 100...

Mountain Bike Use of Illegal Tracks & Closed Trails

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

I have been asked to post the below by local rangers as a reminder to all that building illegal single track in National Parks is just not worth it.

Not only will you be fined and your work destroyed by the rangers, you will also show the sport of mountain bike riding in a very bad light and hinder efforts for legal trail access.

If you want to discuss this, please do so in the trail advocacy forum.

On Saturday 8th March 4 mountain bike riders were apprehended riding the illegally constructed downhill track off Smiths Creek Track (that runs of the Perimeter trail in Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park). Smiths Creek Track is clearly signposted at the locked entrance gate as a "WALKERS ONLY" track.

The WWS round 2:

The way to the start line was interesting as I almost crashed in super big hole hidden under the grass…Mmm that was not a good start. Two other solo girls were next to me at the start and one looked strong (she had The Look..)
Start and here she went like a rocket ….

OK-so the link to Nobmob is a) I'm a MTB rider, b) my wife has just got a job in Canberra, the MTB capital of Australia, and strangely enough I want to be with her and c) you never know who is looking at the site and might be interested in my business.

Before I move I have to reluctantly sell my franchise so rather than put stuff up here that nobody might read or make sense of, if you have a few spare $xx,000, are maybe of thinking of a career change and are the least bit interested in finding out how good it is to own a (and in particular, my) Jim's Mowing franchise, give me a call.

So whilst stuck at uni during the week with no real MTB trails other than the tired stair gaps to ride I've been doing fitness rides into the operahouse and back getting my kicks from the "New York Bike Courier" style of riding weaving in and out of the cars but I find it disconcerting looking over the rear shoulder when space in front is so scarce. Has anyone used one of these / has a better idea? Obviously there are the handlebar mounted but I guess with these you can just lift up your hand and swivel around quickly to pan as the area of the mirror is pretty small.

Drivetrain WTF!

Yeah - good luck with figuring that out! Eye-wink

And here: http://bttdominhoaovouga.blogspot.com/ Spoilers in the comments - don't read this if you want to guess what it is Eye-wink

P.S. My guess is the hub has a sliding mechanism inside whereby it's driven by either the large cog or small cog, providing two speed shifting at the rear (and two at the front, for four speed overall).
