Down Hill in Thredbo over Easter weekend
I would love to go down to Thredbo for a longer weekend to do some DH fun everybody talks about.
It's gonna be my first time, so any comments are greatly appreciated. I ain't a lucky owner of a DH bike (not yet anyway), so I want to sort everything out at: http://www.thredbomountainbiketours.com.au/thred...
Of course, if you got your bike & gear, good for you, at least there will be more money left for evening drinks. I intend to take my XC bike anyway, just in case 3days in a row turn out to be too much for me. I can chicken out to do some easier biking in the area.

"Stan's No tubes" or "Joe's No flats" ?
I'm about to order a "Joe's No Flats" conversion kit from CRC. They don't stock Stans. Is there a major difference in performance? Both seem to be based on latex mixture - Joe's seems to contain more particulates to seal larger holes.
What is your experience?
These (very similar) videos seems pretty convincing...

Oaks up and Back Twilight Ride
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Glenbrook station carpark.
Ok, hoping some of you will actually keep me company on this but if i end up going alone I will probaby catch the train back down - think that ride in the dark solo could be a bit creepy...
Not a super fast ride as I will be there - if you do come please make sure you bring a beer for after the ride in the carpark - and also maybe some snacks, we were starving last time!
MEEE

Manly Dam - How wet is it??
A mate wants to ride it tomorrow night after work and I just wanted to get an idea of how the trail is? Anyone ride today??

Menai Social Ride

By the sports field on Old Illawarra Road, Barden Ridge.
Being a member of a single car family it looks like I'm going to have to ride locally again next weekend, as the boss has plans to use the car Saturday and Sunday. (It is her car, so can't complain too much)
Planning on tackling my usual trails, a mix of some fire trail, tricky climbs, fast flowing single tracks and some of the easier less technical free ride runs, but not looking to venture on the really technical free ride areas.
Pace will be easy to moderate and there will be regular stops to ensure we keep together.

Waited to let the gang catch up. I know i know excuses.
Definitely could have done better. Why didn't someone else put this challenge up before today?

Andersons Trail - Wentworth falls train station to the first creek crossing.
1) Start the timer from the corner of the main road at Wentworth falls.
2) Stop the timer when you hit the water at the bottom of the trail.
3) Prepare the timer for the next challenge that is the climb out from the second creek crossing!
4) Smile because you earned it

And i used to think this was a rest hill?
There was no slipstream here. All under my own steam.

Grind grind grind. what else can you say?
Second time I've ridden the whole way and first time on the Pivot! I'm sure i can beat this. if only the bluies weren't so far away?
