Housing to holes

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Following marking the area that the emitter holder will fit inside the housing here the position of holes to drill are marked.

There will be up to 9 of these Jarcar sinks top and bottom depending on how hot this gets inside. Hopefully that many will not be required but holes to fix the emitter holder to the outer case with screws (no, something smaller than in the pic - this is just my fancy centre punch Eye-wink) or rivets (TBD) will be made between where sinks would have to fit, just in case.

Measuring Emitter Holder

The bottom grey thing is 3mm perspex that will seal the front of the light. Then Calco lenses, square MCPCB and aluminium holder.

Sat next to it is box section housing which was marked with the area that could be used to connect to the aluminium emitter holder.

Don't know if you can make it out in all the shiny stuff - but there is a small 'V' shape filed in the side of the holder here that the power wire will run through.

Emitter Holder

How the emitters will fit on their holder. The whole thing will sink further inside the aluminium box when done but have left it sticking out to show the various depths required.

You can see here that using the square MCPCB with Khatod triple probably wouldn't work.

Finally getting around to making up a new set of lights, half way through machining up a blatant copy of the troutlite.

More NoBby than the rest?

Getting up at 5am is always hard, but a nice race day makes it worthwhile.

The track this year had a small change from last, with a nice section of technical climbing added that I'm happy to say I cleaned on every lap. Later on though didn't quiet have the strength left to clear the original section later in the course and had to dab on the last two laps. Still - I didn't get up that once last year due to being forced onto the right line so happy with how this went.
