Wylde MTB Trail update for 07 Jun
Nearly perfect conditions out there early this morning if you don't mind the 5C temps and fog - luckily there was no wind at all There has been recent work done to the trail to build small bridges, rock armouring and in some places rerouting the trail to avoid problem areas with poor drainage. A few very small damp spots remain to keep you on your toes but the grip was at max levels otherwise.
Nice to see lots of riders out there today - beautiful location.

LOST-Garmin 510-Manly Dam
LOST-Garmin edge 510. I was doing a dam lap, and opened my bag and forgot to close it. My Garmin has fallen out somewhere between the creek gap and the bottom of the descent where the start of the new work is being done. Please keep an eye out for it. There's a 6 pack for anyone who finds it

Manly Dam update for 07 Jun
Detour is still in place and the riders I saw out on the trail this morning were respecting the detour. Trail is a bit damp in places but perfectly rideable.

SRAm nightmare
I'm had a stack today and not only did I gave my rear wheel a buckle I managed somehow to misplace the trigger part of my SRAm X1 trigger.
I have tried Uncle Google on how to re assemble but cannot find anything to get the spring and the other bits back in place.
Looking at getting the whole thing replaced looks costly and don't mind taking it to my LBS but they probably will charge me for a new one.
Any assistance on this would be great one as I have already pulled a good part of my lovely locks just trying to put the spring back in.

Bantry Bay update for 06 Jun
Rode Serrata and Ghania tracks today. Serrata is a bit damp and sandy in places especially over some of the roll offs making traction tricky.

Chain slippage of lower jockey wheel
Hi all
Wondering if anyone can help out a mechanically inept mtbr, I have recently been having a few issues with my chain slipping and partially slipping of my lower jockey wheel i think that the rear derailleur or jockey wheel has taken a hit and the spacing between the chain and the guide that holds the jockey wheel in place seems to have just enough gap for the chain to keep slipping. Is there a temporary fix for this or a way to close the gap enough to prevent further slippage?? Any advice is appreciated.
Cheers

Manly Dam update for 05 Jun
The new work on the section above the Hydraulics Lab is under way.
PLEASE STAY AWAY from the sections being worked on. The trail crew is complaining that they are having to waste hours each day repairing the damage done by morons disregarding the maintenance closures.
You have to ride around it on the road.
There's also another small detour around the new playground between the two bridges at Cootamundra.
Otherwise you're good to ride the trail.
Summary:
DON'T BE A DICKHEAD. Respect the closed sections.
Then we can have a faster and better result instead of pissing off the trail crew (who happen to also be riders, by the way).

Manly Dam track work - Please stay off the unfinished upgrades
Rode the dam Wednesday. Tracks in pretty good shape. Coming down the path detour where the track work is being done and met the people working on the trail. They asked if all riders could stay off the unfinished ungrade. They reckon it takes hours everyday to repair the new sections that people are riding on because they arent finished yet. They said heaps of people are riding it, even when they're working on it. Its clearly marked, but I suppose some people just can't help themselves.
