just after some advice on a gear roughness issue, does anyone have a problem with gears being a bit rough and crunchy when riding over rough stuff, especially at high speeds?

Corner of Elm and Ralston Ave
The first was a killer, forgotten how bad the quarry track is, but it can only get easier!

Dam Conditions
Any thoughts on how the conditions might be for a ride tonight?
There was a short but heavy downpour a couple of hours ago in St Leonards however the sun is making an appearance.
Having not ben here for a few weeks I don't know if there has been much water on the tracks recently.

Float R vs rebuild Fox Septune
A bit of advice please
I just don't want to fork out for a new RP23 (been searching 2nd hand for months)
So deciding between 2 options.
I can buy a 'new' (guy bought wrong size) 08 Fox Float R for $130
or Dirtworks can rework my 05 Septune for $150 to $200
I'm wondering if an 05 shock can be reworked to feel as good as an 08
While the Float only has rebound, the Septune has 7 firmness settings which have never really made much difference. Dirtworks reckon they should be able to fix this.
So I guess the question is, will I notice a 'plushness' difference in the newer shock

Forks, 24"
My young bloke has a mtb with 24" wheels. We need to get new suspension forks for it. Does anyone know where we can get such forks. It has a standard diameter steerer tube. Your help is appreciated.
