Cleaning Rob's arm

Something Rob is used to. Remember this?

Unravelling

The nurse taking off the bandage that I put on Rob's arm. What will it reveal? Smiling

For the answer, see Rob all stitched up.

First Aid

Once again today, it reinforces the fact that everyone should carry a first aid kit in their backpack on rides.

Rob had a good stack going down Shephards Gully today and put a good 10cm long gash down his forearm. It was deep too....down to the muscle.

I did my best to patch him up and off to Hornsby Hospital we went. Well done to the staff. Got Rob looked at immediately and stitched up relatively quickly.

So don't forget to bring at least a basic first aid kit and perhaps do a St Johns course too. You never know when you may need to use the skills.

Yellomundee MTB Grand Prix 2008

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

All,

After scoping out the track today with my teammate for the first time we though ya'll could benefit from some basic tips.

1. Going from Sydney along m4 to Hawksbury Rd is way better then trying to figure out Mulgoa/Castlereigh Rd and suchwhat
2. Dont rely on the 1999 street map of Sydney, there appear to have been significant changes to the above-mentioned Castlereigh Rd since then
3. If you have a navigator, make sure he/she has actually scoped out the route to Yellomundee
4. Ensure your bike bits are tight as suppose to be, yes even including the seat...
