Nightvision Goggles as a Cheap Alternative to NiteRider Bike Lights
Why bother shelling out $300 for a blazing bike light when you can get night vision goggles for $90? EyeCyclops is bringing creepy nightvision to stalkers for a reasonable price. You might not be able to see farther then 10 feet in the dark, but think about how cool you’ll look when you roll up on a group of campers—hopefully they don’t shoot you or call the police.

Good Goose
Yeah
Thanks Mark..I have no children (far from that) so I put all my time, money and effort into looking after the Goose. I love it and would like to keep it, but cant have three bikes so this has to go.
Anyone have any idea's on what I should get? I want a do it all BIKE! Lets say that one again.."A Do It All Mountain Hungry Machine". One that rides up a hill with ease but rides down faster then a keg of beer!
What about those Nomads??

Long Term Tubeless Report
Tubeless long term report..
There was a thread recently about Stans tubeless, so I thought I'd do a report of my experience as a long term user and happy tubeless rider!
I started with Crossmax UST wheels and UST (Panaracer Fire-XC) tyres.
Worked OK, but heavy. Added Stans liquid and no punctures, just used to see where puncture would have been by pinhead wet spots now and again.
From here on, I have never used a tubeless tyres again, but careful not to use tyres on the 'not recommended list' on stans website. My main reason for going back to std tyres is weight.

Development in Cromer Heights / Red Hill / Oxford Falls
Hi everyone,
I know I am very new here, but I wanted to spread the word about something which may effect you guys along with the residents of Cromer Heights and Red Hill.
Some of you may have biked from the Cromer Connector up through to red hill, however what you may not know is part of that land is crown and part of it is owned by Cromer Golf course. Anyway Cromer golf course has decided to flog the land for development which will pritty much put an end to some of the great mountain biking in the area plus throw a ton of car's into the mix.

Scream if you wanna go faster........
OK so it's been 3 months since my last confession. I've been riding a lot since my previous post and completed a couple of races too, coming 7th (Pairs) in the 08 Yellowmundee GP and 11th (Threes) in the 08 Fat Tyre. So this morning I decided it was time to go for another hot lap to see if I have improved any. Woah shaved a full 3 minutes of my last time. I still reckon I could've gone a bit quicker. I put a foot down at the rock platform (not my fault my shoe decided to unclip on my me) and again at the top of the boardwalk (front mech slipped and I lost all power).

Backpack found at Manly Dam yesterday evening
Anyone lost or know someone that left their backpack behind at Manly Dam? Call or PM me with description to get it back. I'm not on Farkin if someone want's to put it on there as well, please do.

Kudos to Trek and Bikeworx Erina
11:45am - Finish riding XC track at Ourimbah. Notice a little line near the join between seat and chain stays of my Trek Fuel. Head out to Bikeworx, just to make sure.
12:13pm - Take bike into shop and expect to be told that I'm a big girl. Instead, by chance, the Trek rep was there, has a look, takes pictures of my bike, uploads to his Laptop and sends an e-mail.
12:15pm - Trek rep says, "You'll have a new rear triangle tomorrow." Bikeworx tells me they'll fit it immediately when it comes in.

Hey,
I need to get some training in for the Half Fling and I gotta figure out how fit I am to see how quick i can go. The aim is to do the oak's up to the top, stopping at the Helipad and then at the gate for water and Guis etc. Come back down and detour via St Helena's I'm hoping I will be fit enough to do the lot at a a good pace.
As always if there are some roidy people there we will split as appropriate.
Andrew
PS Sorry Rob for putting this on the same day as your ride - I can't find another day that works for me.
