Cascades update for 29 Apr
Rode 4 gates today. Still Amber.
Be careful 3/4 of the way down Heath as there's a big tree directly over the track after a corner and if you're going quick you may not stop in time!
The trail has been eroded a bit and there are more rocks exposed than usual and sticks every where.
Still it's very rideable and its a firetrail, so not problems with damange, so if you need a ride get out there!

where to ride within a few hours drive of Sydney
Hi all,
With the cancelation of the Convict and having already booked myself a long weekend off work im itching to get out for a decent ride this weekend but question is... where?? Not sure how much other regions have coped this horrible weather recently, I don't mind a bit of a drive so long as there is some decent rideable km's i.e not underwater or litered with downed tree's. Was wondering how places like Wingello are currently and even as far as Orange? I'm keen to hear from you

early morning rides around Manly Dam
So ive been struggling to get any time to go ridding these days between work and the family so am considering going out before the kids are up. I have done a few laps around manly dam before in the dark, but not really keen on been out there solo before the sun has come up. Is there anyone that would be interested in joining me for a lap. If there is enough interest i will put up a ride on the calander. When do people find the time to go ridding or do you just get a leave pass on the weekend ?

Got some stuff lying around the house that i don't really need so here it is.
Complete set of tektro auriga hydraulic disk brakes. Near new taken off a new bike and barley used - maybe 20km. 160mm front and rear rotors. Front brake is 850mm long / Rear is 1350mm.

Avid elixir 5 Rear brake. 1400mm long. Calliper is a bit dodgy but lever/master cylinder and hose are in good condition.

Set of deore lx callipers in reasonable condition. A few scratches but nothing serious. last used a few years ago in perfect working order.

Quarry Road Track (Berowra Valley) update for 27 Apr
Wet. Very wet. Puddles all around, as I imagine there are at most other tracks in Sydney. Let it dry for a bit and hopefully all the water will drain out.

Getting out of NSW - to ride and race.....
What with the bad news about the Convict, and also the fact that the trails around us will be pretty beaten for a while, I thought I’d share some details with y’all about some racing I have been doing outside of NSW, and just some of the logistics of the trips – because I think its probably a fair bit easier than people think, and it’s a great option to get some fantastic riding done.

Rode over Anzac weekend and trails were in great condition with only the rare puddle.
