Where to ride this weekend?
Looking for somewhere to ride in the Northern basin for a final Convict training ride. Am I kidding myself or could Cascades / Terry Hills be ridable?
Any other suggestions.

I have two Schwalbe Nobby Nic, 29x2.25, Evo folding, TL ready Snakeskin tyres taken off a new bike. They have been ridden for a maximum of 30km so are as new.
Looking for $40 each or $70 for both.

Great condition, rarely used. Bought new for the young bloke but he hardly rode it.
Size Medium, would suit particularly a kid graduating from from a BMX or 24 inch bike.
Shimano Alvio 2 x 8 gearing. Marzocchi Dirt Jumper forks. Has wider bars fitted,taken from a Giant Reign, will include the originals, and Specialized lock-on grips . QR Hope seat clamp also.
Tektro cable discs. Still original pads.
Original Schwalbe Big Betty tyres. Pictures don't do the frame justice, it's a great looking bike.
Can be viewed at Beacon Hill, 2100.

Bantry Bay Clean Up
Will the council clean up the trails in Bantry Bay at some stage or should we just go ahead and do it ourselves? I'm only talking about the official ones as the others will be looked after for sure.

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

It has been a while since I rode, mainly due to a broken hand and some nasty weather, but if you are keen I am looking to do part dam, possums, sarrata/ghania, etc back to the Hydro.

Will Perisher become a year round resort with MTB?
The following video was posted today on Youtube .. go to 8:14 for the key question. (unfortunately time links don't work here).
Imagine the trails that could be built from the main Quad down Pretty Valley and Happy Valley, plus linking existing fire trails/access roads could create some seriously long XC epics. If you google earth the fire trails that run from Smiggins to Blue Cow you will notice that they go on for many miles going right through the mountains toward Khancoban, probably a couple of days ride.
Perisher opening up would be awesome IMO.
Many hands make light work
I went up to see what damage had happened to the possum trail this morning, needless to say, there are many trees down which are blocking the trail, i did as much as i could to get it up and running but i forgot to bring a big saw and secateurs, i only had a hand saw which was too small for some of the big stuff. There are some trees which have been uprooted and are blocking the trail.
I ask for those who ride the trail often to lend a hand on Sunday ( weather pending ) and help clean up the trail as its too much for one man to do. plus I got drenched.
any help is greatly appreciated,
James Williamson Enduro 2015
The family and friends of James Williamson, who sadly passed away whilst competing in the Cape Epic, have been the driving force behind this event since it’s inception, and they must be given credit for doing a wonderful job. I have race the Willo nearly every year since it was first organised, sadly missing out last year as my car didn't make it to Wingello so had to turn for home before making the start line. I had an added incentive this year as it was the day I turned 40, and was racing in the highly competitive Masters category.
