Rim Grind

This is what a proper trials rear rim should look like, after grinding with an angle grinder, the best possible braking performance on any bike.

Are you up for some School Holiday Fun?

Just wondering if anyone else has time off during the school holidays and was keen on having some mid-week rides?

I'm keen to check out some of the trails on the Northern Beaches as I haven't ridden there before. Otherwise, I'll be trying to ride my local, Ourimbah, as often as I can and would appreciate the company.

Let me know if you're interested and we'll post something more specific.

top night for a ride

Well sure the wind was strong enough to blow a dog off it's chain but still a great night for a ride if you could find shelter from the wind.
And a couple of my old favs were on the hit list.
First up a gentle cruise up Hassans Walls before linking up the Ewok and Townhouses trails.

And then, feeling energised it was back up for a run down Ch6

Even a little chopped up by motos and with the occasional branch across the track it's still grin factor +10

OVERALL
My first actual 'event'. I did 1:07:00. If you take the total active riders (500 or something) and divide it by my position (182) and multiply by 100 you get 34. Which means I came 34/100 which I'm happy with. I was in 30-39 category.

The BMC Mountains To Beach Stage Race (add this to your calendar...)

The BMC Mountains To Beach - 6 days of awesome mountain bike stage racing from the roof of Australia to the surf

Imagine a week of mountain biking, a week of racing, that will take you from the highest mountains in Australia, across snowgum lined plains, down along rainforest lined creeks and out to finish with your wheels in the sand and surf. Snaking singletrack, ‘wind through the helmet’ downhills, challenging uphills and some of the most varied scenery you could want.
