Draft Unstructured Recreation Facility Plan is supposed to be available for comment. Comments close 21st July 2008. Page 12 of the The Hornsby Advocate has some detail. It refers to the website which does not appear to have it. I have it. So here is the good part. Apparently all HSC libraries have it too.

New RTA road rules that effect bicycles.

The RTA has implemented a major change to the way bicycles stop and turn at some newly marked traffic lights.
There are heavy fines for vehicle drivers of up to $405 and 4 demerit points and $54 for the bike rider if they don't comply.
Read the web site then answer this question, who the bloody hell would want to do a "hook turn" ?
Get the ambulances ready I think.

A tip that may save you some money and time.
So we were thinking about getting one of those bike rack stands that you latch onto your seat post to hang the bike up to make it easy to work on. No having to flip they bike over and work upside down to do gears etc.
Then, the little light bulb shone in blackbetty's dad's head and he decided to back the car into the garage with the bike rack on, and use that. Works a treat apparently.
Mid Week Ride
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Social medium paced mid week night ride out to the end of the long track and back this is not a training ride so there will be some stopping and talking. And I will even hang around for a drink after if that gets Bernd out there.
