Torn sidewall

Well just realised I had a torn sidewall upon finishing my ride today. Was a nice lightweight Crossmark Exception too Sad Only had done a few hundred km on it. They sure are skinny sidewalls on the Exception series. The most abuse this tyre got would have been going down Andersons.

Luckily it didn't blow out on the trail. I just saw the tube bubble out a bit when I got home.

Quick Spin Sat?

Hmmmm... I was going to take a leisurely ride with the GF this morning, but she's not feeling so good and doesn't feel up for it.

Sooooo... am free for a spin later in the day. Will go do one of the usual XC loops (Cascades, Terrey Hills, etc) on my own, unless there's any takers for a bit of company, in which case open to suggestion. Am thinking midday-ish start for 2-3 hours.

Cheers! Smiling

Brilliant and technical XC course built by the kind folk at WMBC - one of the finest around Sydney. Looks to be plenty of firetrail in the area too, but with sniggle this good, why would you waste your time there?

Tubeless ??

I broke the valve of my rear wheel so I went and got a tubeless valve (dear those small things!). But when I was about to replace the broken one, I was horrified to discover that my Trance X1 with TUBELESS tires has tubes inside..... what is going on there ? Is that something normal Giant does to all new bikes ?

Now I can't even pump it up tubeless, the seal doesn't seem tight enough around the rim. What should I do ? Sad
