Never been to Appin, and I hear it is pretty good. So, who coming? Looks like a very nice area based on the photos. Even those Cannondale boys seem to enjoy it, so anyone can do it!! Sticking out tongue

I am not fussed about rider numbers for this, so the more the merrier. Does anyone know how technical the trails are? Some of the photos look as though there will be some walking parts if you are a noob. Maybe call this one intermediate skill level? Anyway, best use your own judgement, unless some of the veterans want to enlighten us.

Stromlo 24 Hour?

Word on the street is entries for the CORC 24h will go live this weekend:

http://www.corc.asn.au/24hr/

It's on October 11/12... Me thinks interested parties should begin to form their teams.

Can we count on Groover & Damien for solo entries? Nutters! Sticking out tongue

Very unhappy.
After a few days delay because another item went out of stock, it seems the order has been held up further.
After numerous emails as to why my order kept showing 'processing', I received an email tonight 'The FSA FR-200 STEM 90mm (37001) that you ordered is not available. Would you like to amend the order or simply cancel the item from the order to enable us to ship the rest of the parts?'
This is 1 week after I placed the order and I need the drivetrain gear for Canberra.
I have replied with a 'very displeased' email, especially when they take the money beforehand.

Well to keep Christine's alcohol intake up, I have posted a night ride for Wednesday. The weather has been a bit average the last few days so we may have to ride Duck and Centre which are usually a bit drier.

Way too much rain.....how annoying!

Preferred rider numbers

We've had a few requests for this, so by popular demand... (drum roll)... a "Maximum number of preferred riders" field on ride meetings.

As that box says, "Sometimes the more the merrier. Sometimes not. Use this field to indicate what sort of a group size works here or leave blank for no limit."

Somewhat of a victim of our own popularity, sometimes too many riders show up and this makes what might be a speedy spin take a bit longer. Sometimes though people just don't care (see the regular-ish Terrey Hills night rides) and numbers aren't important.

Of course this means users have to respect each other and not come along when this will mean too many riders. You must make use of the 'You in?' field or none of this will work out as planned.

Enjoy! Smiling

Sweet, sweet single track with a few short sections of firetrail. Nice and technical too - loved it!

Awesome course... say no more!

Well got a bit lucky today when I realised after the ride that I had a torn sidewall.
Torn sidewall
I sure am having no luck with tyre's and tubes on my new bike. First I get a glass puncture right at the finish of the Dirtworks. Must have been one of those warm beer bottles that we all got handed at the finish line!

Then last week I get a pinch flat after going off a drop in Manly. The tubes that come standard with the Trance X0 sure are damn thin! Some sort of Maxxis lightweight tube.
