Rear derailleur identification
My rear der is getting ready for replacement but I'm not sure how to identify the exact model I need.
The current der has RD M780 stamped on it but when I go on the Shimano website there are various other letters/models available.
I run a 3x10 setup so presume I need a mid cage and I'd like one with a clutch to reduce chain slap.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated, thanks.

All Mountain Tracks NSW and ACT - Suggestions?
Hi All,
Sorry if this is posted to the wrong place.
My brother and I have the luxury (or lack of forward thinking) to be jobless at the moment. We both quit our jobs, and for the short term, just want to ride.
We're about a month in, and looking to expand our usual riding selections. I'm pretty sure we hit the most common. We hit Ourimbah most commonly, then Awaba or Manly / Hornsby for a quick strap.
Stuff like the gravity enduro / downhill sections are definitely our preference (eg, we loved Stromlo when we visited). Any good suggestions? Happy to drive a couple of hours.

Sweet, sweet singletrack
After convincing the better half that a road trip to Orange was a good idea I entered the Choccie Foot 7hr as a solo rider. I had a pretty decent training the weeks before the race including riding the Canberra Centenary Trail.
The race started up a nice fire trail hill but I just settled in at the back and cruised up. There was no congestion to speak of and everyone was really good at passing and being passed. Good vibes all round!

North Turramurra update for 20 Oct
The fallen trees have now been cleared. The sniggle on the turramurra side is also fine after the rain last week.

Awesome Weekend in Orange
It was a bit of a late decision to enter as I was speaking with @dicko and mentioned I have been riding heaps but have done bugger all racing this year and he mentioned how damn good the track is at Orange. I entered the 4hr solo then checked interest levels of the family. Liz was keen, Qualia was keen but Lach gave me the "dad I'd love to come but my cold isn't too good..." speech. Oh well, 3 out of 4 is good so on Friday I did a quick search of accomm and found Turners Vineyard met our needs.

BB bearing press
Hi there.
My Bottom Bracket Bearings ars shot. Ive removed them & will get some Press fit bearings on the way to work tomorrow.
Does anyone on the Northern beaches have a Bearing press they are willing to lend me?
Ive seen the Getto ones but don't have time during the day to get all the bits for it
In the old BMX days I used to fit them with a hammer & piece of wood & make sure they go in straight. Nevere had a problem. But they were Cro-moly frames in those days.....

Beginner mountainbiker in Freshwater
Hi guys,
I've moved over to the Northern Beaches within the last year, living in Freshwater - and have got myself a Specialized Camber mountainbike that I'm keen to put to some good use.
Have taken it out a couple of times to Manly Dam but am hoping to find some other riders to hit the trails with, and who can show me some of the other riding spots around here.
I've not really done much riding since I was a kid (I'm now in my mid-30s) but want to get fitter, meet some new people and have a bit of fun tearing around the bush trails.
