MTBA - new way forward for trail advocacy! (a.k.a. what now given that IMBA-AU has folded)

Since we're massively under served in terms of trail destinations and facilities I think this is an important discussion topic. Mine's a very Sydney centric view of life. I know things are on the improve but the pace of change is frustratingly glacial.

Stromlo conditions
Anyone with up to date info on Stromlo conditions? Has it been soaked like Sydney? Reason for asking is to anticipate what tyres and bike and other stuff to pick for Saturday's race.
Any recent track status update will be greatly appreciated.

The Oaks update for 09 Sep
Rode on Sunday 7th. Some wet sand sections on Woodford-helipad section, but otherwise all good. Old and new single-track good, but a few puddles on old part.

I'm calling it amber. Lots of water draining out of the bush most of the way along Perimeter. Long was pretty good, considering.
You won't hurt the track but the bike will get gritty. Enjoy!

The Dam
Has anyone ridden the dam in the last couple of days?
I'm getting a new bike thursday and was keen for a few laps.
I expect it is still a swamp though.
