Manly Dam update for 08 Aug

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Green/Open

All good. Bridges after the 19th hole are in place.

Haven't spent a lot of time here recently but I am pretty happy with the work that has taken place. Really glad to see that the advanced lines through the 19th hole have been refined and, most of all, acknowledged!

Ourimbah State Forest update for 07 Aug

Status:
Green/Open

Trail is in excellent condition. The trail fairies have done amazing things in the last year: re-opening the Magic Carpet, and extension at the top of Roller Coaster and now a totally new, techy-ish, steep, tight, twisty section near Bellbirds. Awesome!

I know its an old topic but...

Advice on drivetrains..

My current SLX rear cassette is on its way out and am thinking about getting rid and also removing the front mech for simplicity purposes.

The question is a 34t or 32t single chainring, combined with a 11/36 rear cassette.

My local trails are Terrey Hills 50k+ with Red Hill thrown in for good measure.

I ride up the Maybrook & Manly Dam big hill climbs generally in granny gear, will I be walking with the new conversion.? or just don't worry about it, accept the fact I am 45 and need the extra help.

Any advice is appreciated

Wrights Creek Rd

Hi Everyone, Just wondering if the climb from Wrights Creek Rd north towards Great Northern Rd(ie the Convict one) is private property? Or can it be accessed any time? Thanks, Adam
