Manly Dam update for 08 Apr
Still a mudfest. While I didn't ride today (due to a fussy shoulder following last weekend's Mont 24hr) I did check with people coming off the track at the Hydraulic Lab.
The consensus among those who care was that the trail should be closed. The singletrack coming down from Allambie is reported as copping a thrashing, and getting extremely eroded and rutted. The amount of mud clogging up tyres and the rest of the bike I saw is consistent with that picture.
Not sure why Council is being so hands-off. Is their Facebook page broken or do they just not care any more? Weird.

Def worth a look, I rode the Red Loop today and it's a lot of fun, will be coming back next month to ride the rest of it.

Just rode the Hero downhill track at Mystic Mountain Bright, awesome, best downhill run I've ridden in ages:)
Central Coast Ourimbah DH
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Enter via Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. On your right will be 'TreeTops' for the kids and it's large-ish carpark. Carry on past there and the first small clearing which is were parking used to be, and is where the 'Browns' single track turns (you might see riders on your left here). Please do not park in this car park.
Parking and official trail head is now designated a further 350m or so up the road where there is a larger area. There's a CCOMTB notice board here by the trail entrance (on the left as you drive up the hill). Park up nose to curb or as directed.
Round 1 of the CCMTB club DH series, and round 1 of the State Series, held over two days this is the perfect track to race as a intro to DH racing.
Saturday practice from 9:30 till 3:00
Sunday practice from 8:30 to 11:30
Sunday racing is from 12:00pm
Entry is $80 for both days or $50 for Sunday only
Rego is availible online but also on the day.

Full face helmets required
You will need a race plate to ride on Saturday

Manly Dam update for 02 Apr
After reading the previous days post thought we'd give the dam a crack. Massive deluge and turning to clay in areas, it'll need at least a week to dry out if we dont get anymore rain. Popped over the back to possum because it's usually drier but found the same awful conditions. Riding does more damage than good! Have heard serata and Ghania are rideable and better shape.

Bantry Bay update for 01 Apr
Bluff Track and Gahnia Track in surprisingly good condition today. Some wet rocks but very little standing water.
Return on Bantry Bay Fire Trail wet / standing water in places.
Avoided Possums because it looked too wet, but can't provide more info than that.

All rideable today, but wet and muddy in numerous places.
Also rode Gahnia which was in much better condition.
