Spoke to Adrian from Synergy Trails today (who's behind both Jubes and OMV) who informed me Jubes MTB re-opened this weekend after redevelopments.

Great Northern Road update for 06 Jul
Rode there today. All good along the top track - drains pretty well at the top, though Shepherd's Gully is taking some major redevelopment works at the bottom of the hill - watch out very deep wet sand after the bottom gate. (Rideable though)

Old Man's Valley update for 06 Jul
Trail fairies were out (including myself) preening the track, and all good, though still a bit boggy in the big dipper region of the track, and it's coped with the atrocious weather pretty well. Hats off to Synergy trails for knowing how to keep the track mostly mud-free.

Jubes MTB park re-opened
Did an OMV maintenence session in Hornsby today; spoke to Adrian from Synergy Trails (who is in charge of both OMV as well as Jubes MTB park) who informed me that the Jubes MTB Park is reopen after a serious redevelopment. So look "jube-ulent" and check out the new updated 800m flow singletrack and pump track as well as the various skills facilities!
Once someone (including myself) gets a proper look around the area, I reckon it's about time to merge this from North Turramurra and give it its own page in its own right.

Best route through the city
I know this is not strictly an MTB post but I know there are a lot of commuters on here that may be able to help.
The only chance I have of a ride this weekend is a road ride and I fancy a change from my normal loop. I've only crossed the bridge by bike a couple of times and neither route to the bridge seemed particularly great. I've tried Google maps but that wants to take me along past Darling harbour. O.o
Starting from my place in Zetland, which is the best way to the bike on ramp of the bridge?
Cascades update for 06 Jul
Pretty good. Some water in front of water bars, and a bit of sand flicked up, but a lot of it is dry and packed well. Borderline amber. St Ives is probably a bog.

Ourimbah State Forest update for 06 Jul
Its in very good shape considering. The track was very dry, grippy for the most part and almost dusty in other places. Only muddy spots were on the fire trails: the dippy sections in Kangaroo Valley (?) And at the bottom of the descent following the Big Dipper. Only a few other minor soft parts on the trail, even the Graveyard is a treat with all of it's new bridges. The Trail fairies have worked wonders again and it seems that riders have been sensible and stayed away during the rain.

Manly Dam update for 06 Jul
It's definitely drying up, but some sections are still wet, so unless you really have to ride Manly Dam I suggest still finding another trail to ride..
