Stromlo Forest Park update for 10 Feb
From the Stromlo Forest Park FB page:
The extreme heat is hanging around over the next couple of days.
A total fire ban has been declared for Friday and Saturday along with a Severe fire danger rating.
The park will remain open. If the fire danger rating reaches Extreme the park will close. Fire danger ratings are updated the afternoon prior.
Please avoid the heat and keep up the fluids.

Awaba State Forest update for 10 Feb
I just received the below email so I guess that includes Awaba
Dear riders,
Due to the catastrophic fire conditions forecast for this weekend ALL Stare Forests from Kempsey to Sydney have been closed, including Ourimbah State Forest.
We urge to respect this closure and postpone your ride to another time in case of a fire event.

Mont 24 Hour 2017 - Steampunk Edition
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
The Ride Canberra site describes the main forest entrance as being the corner of Kowan Road and Sutton Roads. There is a parking area 5km into the forest along Kowan road with gates that may be locked. Call Canberra Connect (13 22 81) for the combinations or ride from Sutton Road for a warm up.

Found some sunnies Sat arvo, Feb 4, at the Dam down near the Hydro lab. If you lost some just let know brand and colour and they can get back to their rightful owner!
