Trans Provence All-Mountain stage race

No 50yo old farts whining about their bikes not having bottle cages (erm, that sounds like me Sad ) in this one!

Enjoy Smiling Amazing scenery, and cool music. Just don't look down in the high altitude stages.

Decided to have a picnick at Mt Annan with the kids. Before lunch I decided to have a go. (took 57min for the green lap with my little girl. LOL) Track is in awesome shape atm. Hammering down the right hander on the grassy bit of Bull head....lost grip on my rear. WTF. LOL.
great lap. fairly clear. Once I get a little more familliar with the track.....might have another 60 secs in it for me

My Whyte 829

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

I've finally succumbed to the hype and got myself a 29er – a Whyte 829 which is their “trail” 29er. I didn't want another race bike for enduro’s as I have no intention of changing from my 26” dually so went for a play thing.

Price:
1,700.00

Hi all, its that time again - 'team' bike for sale in readiness for 2013 kit..

I am selling my 'play bike'. Its a 2009 spec frame (but actually came to me as a brand new frame at the end of 2010) which I have built up and used as a bike for when I am just doing relaxed 'play' riding with friends, doing some skills work, and most recently just cruising to the shops (disgraceful).

Its an XL S-Works Stumpjumper frame, which has 5" of travel front and rear. It is spec'd with Specialized own fork - a 'Future Shock' which was a joint venture with Rockshox.

Manly Dam update for 01 Oct

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Green/Open

Dry but not too dry, perfect I'd say, the recent rain gave the trail a bit more grip.
Lots of traffic on the trail this morning.

The "butcher" didn't get me but I saw a poor bloke 100m in front of me got butchered, I must admit, I admire his/her accuracy, coming from behind for a surprise attack on the nose of an unsuspecting rider.

Duck Hole/Terrey Hills Trail update for 30 Sep

Status:
Green/Open

Mostly dry, and fast. Coupla puddles on the top side of waterbars, but otherwise excellent and good traction.

Set a few PBs today according to Strava. Some of that was helped along by the creepy guy with the sunnies and moustache on the red road motorbike parked about 20m off the trail about 500m up from the end of Duck Holes trail with what looked like a rifle bag slung over his back. Shocked

Needless to say I stopped and gave the nice lady at the NPWS kiosk on West Head Road a heads-up.

Terrey Hills update for 30 Sep

Status:
Green/Open

Dry and fast. Set a few PBs today according to Strava.

Look out for the sticks blown down by the strong winds on the horse trail sniggle on Perimeter - can easily rip a derailleur off and/or send you OTB.
