Ferei BL 200 lights
I've just had dropped off for review a set of Ferei BL 200 lights.
First impressions:
They make my 3.5yo AyUps look like demented glow worms. These puppies put out some serious lumens.
As a commuter lightset there is NO risk of outrunning these at any achievable speed on high beam, even on the ghastliest of wet nights. They claim a 270m range. I believe it. Using high beam on a bike path could be dangerous to other cyclists.

Closer to a sub 40
I gave it everything I had to get under 40 mins but just didn't have it in me. Hopefully next time I can bring it home in a sub 40 min

Help with rear derailleur adjustment
Hello all,
Question with rear derailleurs. I know I shouldn't really be using this gearing combination but when I have the chain on the smallest front chainring and smallest rear cog, there is no tension on the chain. This is causing the chain to jump off the bottom jockey wheel. It started to happen after I changed the bottom jockey wheel.
Is there any way that I can adjust the rear derailleur to increase tension on the chain with this gear combo? How do I go about doing this? My derailleur is a shimano SLX. The rest of the gears changes fine.
Thanks

Carbon or aluminium
I am tossing up carbon or aluminium. Purchase price being no issue but suitability for my riding conditions and ongoing maintenance or durability is.
I ride mostly red hill, terry hills, Manly Dam with trips away. I like what I read about Carbon but I don't want it to become a problem if it's damaged on rock ect.
What's your 2c

Elite Volare Fluid Trainer
Has anyone had experience or feedback with this model before?
Looks to be a pretty good special on this...

Red Hill : Back in the saddle
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Red Hill Reserve car park, off Lady Penryhn Drive, Beacon Hill. Another option is to ride over here from Oxford Falls.
Heya Guys,
It has been a very long time since I was last on the site and an equally long time since I was last on the bike. I will be heading up to Red Hill on Saturday morning for my first decent ride in almost a year. Given my current fitness, I'll be riding at a very casual pace and probably stopping regularly for breathers.
If anyone is up for a relaxed ride on the Hill, I'd love to see you there.
Cheers,
Scott.

The economics of stolen bicycles
Interesting article on the US situation, but the same principles would apply here. Don;t know if anyone remembers, but there was a spate of thefts from Sydney CBD offices last year.
