Interval training does pay off

Reading some Mark Fenner stuff on training was interesting. It's obviously working as my times are slowly coming down.

Bantry Bay update for 05 Aug

Area:
Bantry Bay
Status:
Green/Open

Track is great, nice and dry and not too much sand.

Have been riding repeats of Currie Road down to Bantry Bay to ease back into riding after 3 months off with L4/L5 disc issue. Did 4 repeats over the weekend and feels OK.

Out having a blast

Date:
5 Aug 12

Like all my hot laps started out as just a blast for fun and then realising i was way ahead of previous times so kept it going - 9 minutes to long and then just over 20 at the look-out.

Mogo State Forest update for 05 Aug

Status:
Green/Open

Trail fairies have been doing good work - new berms, drainage and wipper-snippering. A new marked fire trail link to the top of the AST sniggle means you can link up 95% of the best sniggle without the tough climb up Dam Rd and Pistol Shot Rd. Track was dry and in great shape - the only water was in a couple of creek crossings - where it's supposed to be!

3 Ring Circus 2012 - Steve

Wet and about 8 degrees C, first ride on the new bike.....aim was not to cramp and to ride all the hills. This was achieved although I did stop at the changeover area for 5 mins to stretch. Time was 2:58 mins.

Rory had a good ride and the single track sections went well perhaps a bit too slow on my part. I walked the wall!!!

Withdrawn: FOX 32 TALAS 140mm Taper

Note that this is "Withdrawn" so is here for archive purposes only.
Below is a preview, click to read the full post
Price:
380.00

Up for sale is a set of 140mm TALAS 32 FOX forks originally off a 2009 (but only bought new in Jan 2011) Gary Fisher Roscoe 3. The sticker says FOX TALAS RP24.
They have a tapered steerer cut to 205mm (came off a large frame with 3 x 5mm stacks under the stem IIRC).
Selling due to frame upgrade and now running 160mm 36ers.
They have G2 geometry which simply means they have a little more offset in the crown than other forks but if you are changing forks I doubt you'll notice the difference.

Lane Cove National Park update for 04 Aug

Status:
Green/Open

Devlin's Creek Track has reopened following the repair work that was done during the week. There are still a couple of muddy areas along this section, but the single track at North Epping is mostly dry. Trails throughout the rest of the Lane Cove Valley are mostly dry, just a few damp sections. In general, it's the driest it's been in a while.
