Ourimbah Easy DH
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Enter via Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. On your right will be 'TreeTops' for the kids and it's large-ish carpark. Carry on past there and the first small clearing which is were parking used to be, and is where the 'Browns' single track turns (you might see riders on your left here). Please do not park in this car park.
Parking and official trail head is now designated a further 350m or so up the road where there is a larger area. There's a CCOMTB notice board here by the trail entrance (on the left as you drive up the hill). Park up nose to curb or as directed.
I am heading to Ourimbah to do some shuttle runs on the DH track, I have space for two riders in my Ute, please contact me directly if you would like a lift or to meet me there, I am leaving from Freshwater at 9am on Saturday. Also beginners are welcome.

Wollombi Recce Ride
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
The Wollombi Tavern
This is a recce training ride for the Wollombi Wild Ride on September 2. It's not quite the complete course as we will be avoiding the private property bit but most of it is rideable which will be good if you haven't ridden here before (like me).
After the ride we plan on stopping at the pub for lunch and a beverage or two
Here is the proposed course and depending on how we are going we might to a bit extra

The pace will be consistent and seeing there only looks like one decent hill 3.5 hours should be plenty.

Lane Cove National Park update for 01 Aug
The trail west of Brown's waterhole is getting drier, with few muddy patches, but they started work on the Devlin's Creek crossing today so it is blocked off there.

Manly Dam update for 01 Aug
The recent rain showers haven't made much difference and the track is definitely "green".
After the Manly Vale School wet section all the way up and across and down again to the creek is pretty much dry. The Allambie side has a few puddles (especially the single track before the 19th Hole) but nothing worth worrying about.
Only the Monserra Quagmire is a problem
Still a plethora of loose stones about and the track is roughly eroded where the water has been flowing, but overall the track is as good as we can expect these days. Also I noticed there were not many tracks visible and no other riders at lunchtime today.
Enjoy!

Electric Unicycle Racing Proposed as Olympic Sport
Vaguely related but interesting.
How would a 29'er version of one of these go around the dam?

Garmin - multiple courses
Is there a way to display more than 1 trail at the same time on the Garmin Edge 800?
Reason why, is that when I go out, I have setup beforehand a trail to follow. But then I have also another trail (or two) for other possible trail(s) to explore. So, is it possible to have more than 1 trail in what they call a 'course'? or to display 2 courses at the same time?
And also, on the same subject; why does my trail display purple – when I've setup on BaseCamp (+ again on the course options, from the unit) to be bright red?
…if someone from iOS could move to Garmin?1
