Trail fairies have been doing good work - new berms, drainage and wipper-snippering. A new marked fire trail link to the top of the AST sniggle means you can link up 95% of the best sniggle without the tough climb up Dam Rd and Pistol Shot Rd. Track was dry and in great shape - the only water was in a couple of creek crossings - where it's supposed to be!

Do you have more information?

every small point on trail had been "marked' by Wombats when I rode down there in June-plus Bee hives placed near a trail! did you ride through them or whimp out like me & keep a wide stance?

Plenty of fresh wombat poo in quite a few areas! No bee hives on the mtb trails, but saw a few today in the vicinity when out in the 4WD. I think the reason they have marked in the new alternative to the top of AST is that the Pistol Shot Rd / Carlo Rd area is now being logged, so maybe the new link is meant to keep the mtbs well away from those areas. No mention of logging on the map board at the track head though.
